Concealed inside 30mm coin: a small manual wound watch that is only accessible by pressing a push button. After carefully pressing the button, the hinged top obverse side will then reveal a beautifully finished swing-out watch with winding crown at 1 oclock. Features ultra-slim manual wound movement made by Frédéric Piguet (Blancpain) calibre 21. This calibre was in development as early as 1925, and it is still produced today, used by a significant number of watch manufacturers, like Piguet Cal. 650, Patek Philippe Cal. 175 & 177, Longines Cal. It is a simple, a precise and a reliable movement with approx 42 hours of power reserve and minimal dimensions: 20.4 x 1.74mm! Calibre FP 21 could be considered the archetype of ultrathin handwinds (the model for two similar popular calibers, the AP Cal 2003 and Piaget Cal 9P), with a history going back to dawn of the wristwatch era. Two-body, reeded sides, reeded bezel, straight lugs, push piece in the band to unlock the cover, sapphire crystal, on the back the American Eagle, on the front the profile of Lady Liberty. Gold with black baton indexes. Blued steel bâton hands. Frederic Piguet 21, 9`, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case, and movement signed. Watch is in overall great 9/10 condition, running and ready to use! Don’t let this truly unique and eye-catching find pass away.
