Ancient Maxentius Roman Coin in. Ruby Pendant with Pearl Necklace in 18Kt Gold. Featured is a pendant necklace dedicated to preserving the celebrating a beautiful ancient piece of the past. The solid 18kt yellow gold pendant setting encases an ancient Roman coin crafted of billon which contains either gold or silver with mostly copper or another base metal. The coin dates to 306-312AD from Roman Emperor Maxentius’s ruling period. The obverse side of the coin is a right Laureate bust and the reverse depicts a roma seated facing in a hexastyle temple, head left, shield at their side and holding and globe and scepter. The top of the 1 5/8 long pendant is encrusted with an oval cabochon bezel set natural ruby. The diameter of the coin setting measures 1 1/4 and 7.00mm in depth. The necklace measures 16 1/2 in length with 38 round cultured saltwater akoya pearls. This gorgeous vintage pendant necklace is in Excellent condition. Necklace Crafted in the 1980s, Excellent Cond.
